Join our vibrant childcare team as a Child Care Assistant here at Longflelow Wellesley, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 3 months to 10 years.

In this role, you will help support children through attentive caregiving, fun activities, and positive behavior management. Your energy and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families, fostering growth, curiosity, and joy every day.

We are looking for Saturday morning and occasional Sunday subbing for our morning Nursery and Kidz Club. Our Longfellow Wellesley Members use this service as they work out.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during activities and playtime.
• Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting to meet individual needs.
• Engage children with creative play that stimulate curiosity and learning.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, changing areas, and common spaces regularly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly desirable.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required (Longfellow can provide a class).
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining patience and empathy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting infants or toddlers and engaging in active play.
• A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and fostering a safe learning environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
