Child Care Assistant

Overview
Join our team at my in-home daycare center. Where are goal is to be a family unit, where we all work towards the same goals. We teach the kiddos as well as each other. In this rewarding role, you will support classroom activities, assist with daily care routines, and foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes growth and development. Your energy and positive attitude will help create an engaging space where children feel valued, supported, and excited to learn. Looking for a high energy, committed assistant for my older crew of kids, 3-4years old.

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that stimulate curiosity and learning.
• Support children with daily routines such as art, fine motors, gross motor, recess, literacy, and science.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote cooperation, respect, and social skills among children.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
• Be willing to reach outside the box with activities that engage children on all levels.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
• Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience for working with young children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 28 per week

License/Certification:

• CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION (Preferred)
