Child Care Assistant

Swiss Child Care, located in Terra Linda, is hiring a full-time, long-term Child Care Assistant to join our small, close-knit team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is nurturing, dependable, and excited to build meaningful relationships with children while supporting their growth through play, routine, and connection.

What you'll do:

• Help create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for children
• Support daily routines such as meals, hygiene, diapering, and rest time
• Assist and participate with play-based activities, process art projects and group experiences
• Help keep the child care space clean, organized, and welcoming
• Work closely with the other team members and families to support each child's needs

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• A team player with positive and compassionate attitude
• Experience is not required-we are happy to train the right person
• English communication skills required; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Requirements :

• Eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required)
• Background check clearance
• First Aid/CPR certification (employer paid; must be completed within 90 days)
• Mandated Reporter certification (must be completed within 90 days)
• Up-to-date Immunization records
• TB clearance
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
• 4 week paid vacation per calendar year
• Paid holidays
• 5 paid sick days per calendar year

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Approximately 45 hours per week
• Day shift, Monday through Friday
