Position: Childcare Assistant
Pay: $13 - $16 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule: Flexible schedule – No nights or weekends! Full time 4X10hrs Part time 2 or 3 X10hr

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive manner.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining hygiene.
• Manage children's behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
• Collaborate with other caregivers or educators to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a genuine love for working with children
• Is an excellent team player
• Is responsible, punctual, and dedicated
• Has a strong background in early childhood education or related fields
• Has experience in childcare settings, including babysitting or caregiving roles
• Possesses knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions
• Is familiar with classroom management strategies to maintain an orderly environment
• Has the ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education support
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
• Shows patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children
