Child Care Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence
• Help with classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities
• Contribute to curriculum development efforts aligned with Montessori, preschool, or daycare standards
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share progress and address individual needs

Skills

• Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
• Familiarity with working with infants
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleague and families
• Ability to manage a classroom confidently while fostering a positive learning atmosphere
• Experience working in daycare center or in-home daycare preferred
• Demonstrated skills in working with young children across various developmental stages from toddlers to preschoolers
