Child Care Assistant Teacher

In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and promote a positive, engaging environment for children at various developmental stages. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on literacy education, math, and overall curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, safe environment conducive to learning and play
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and emotional development
  • Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials for activities and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
  • Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation and support
  • Foster positive communication with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere
  • Contribute to the development of individualized learning plans for children requiring special education or additional support

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Knowledge of curriculum development for preschool or daycare settings, including Montessori or Toddler care approaches
  • Proficiency in working with children with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning
  • Familiarity with working in private schools or daycare environments and experience with preschool or toddler care settings

Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour
