Child Care Assistant Teacher

Position Title: Childcare Assistant Teacher

Job Summary: In this part-time or full-time position (full-time would include benefits), the Childcare Assistant Teacher will work with other teaching staff to provide a safe, academically challenging, age-appropriate childcare experience. Preference to those with previous experience and leadership skills. Job training to start upon hire.

Supervisor: Preschool Director and Senior Pastor

Responsibilities:

• Help with classroom management
• Care for the needs of the students
• Assist lead teacher in readying lessons for students
• Help with planning academic and Christian lesson plans
• Teaching and caring for students in appropriate age range (infant, toddler or preschool)
• Maintaining current license requirements for self

Required Skills:

1. Certification in infant and child CPR & First Aid

Preferred Skills:

1. Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methods

2. Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

3. Excellent communication and instructional skills

4. Ability to act as mediator between children

5. Friendly and reliable

6. Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen

7. Experience with Develop training already in progress or completed

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
