Child Care Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for working with children will help foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through structured activities and personalized care. Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning.
  • Provide attentive care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional security at all times.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor activities to encourage creativity and social interaction.
  • Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster respectful and cooperative conduct.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to ensure a secure environment for every child.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. this is paid for by the center.
  • Strong classroom experience with toddlers or infants; familiarity with classroom management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, parents, and children.

Pay: $11.35 - $13.00 per hour
