Child Care Assistant Teacher

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, organized, and safe learning environment.
• Engage with children through play, literacy activities, math exercises, and social interactions to promote their cognitive and emotional growth.
• Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, providing personalized support and mentoring.
• Help monitor children’s behavior and implement behavior management strategies to foster respectful and cooperative classroom dynamics.
• Collaborate with staff to prepare educational materials, proofread lesson plans, and ensure instructional quality.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and daily experiences.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Experience working with children in classroom settings, including private school or Montessori environments preferred.
• Knowledge of special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to assist with literacy education, math activities, tutoring, and mentoring students of various ages.
• Classroom management skills to maintain an organized and nurturing learning environment.
