Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, structured environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Engage children in educational activities that promote social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap schedules, and hygiene practices to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Work with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, providing personalized support and mentoring.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and classroom activities; proofread instructional materials for clarity and consistency.
  • Foster strong communication with parents and guardians by sharing updates on their child's development and classroom experiences.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or childcare environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and Montessori or other child-centered teaching methods is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or autism, providing compassionate support tailored to each child's needs.
  • Classroom experience involving literacy education, math activities, tutoring, or mentoring young learners will enhance your fit for this role.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and engaging positively with children and families.
  • Experience in private school or preschool settings that emphasize childhood development principles is a plus.
  • Certification or training in early childhood education, classroom management, or behavior support is beneficial but not mandatory.
