Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
- Support daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
- Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and transitions to encourage social interaction and physical activity
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing care strategies
- Support behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities tailored to children with special needs or disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is preferred
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within a dynamic childcare environment
