Child Care Assistant Teacher

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
• Support daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
• Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and transitions to encourage social interaction and physical activity
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
• Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing care strategies
• Support behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions and emotional regulation
• Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities tailored to children with special needs or disabilities

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar environments
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is preferred
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and team members
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within a dynamic childcare environment

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
