Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education program. This role is vital in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The Child Care Director will be responsible for implementing educational standards, managing staff, engaging with families, and ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements. Responsibilities
- Manage daily center operations, including staffing schedules, enrollment processes, and classroom activities.
- Budgeting, tuition collection, and managing operational expenses.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and education delivery.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal licensing regulations governing child care facilities.
- Foster positive relationships with families through regular communication, parent meetings, and community engagement initiatives.
- Managing family tours, onboarding, and marketing to maintain enrollment.
- Oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for children and staff at all times.
- Monitor program quality through assessments, observations, and continuous improvement strategies to enhance educational outcomes.
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/higher in early childhood education OR Montessori credential with 18 semester hours in early childhood education/child developement and 480 hours of experience OR Associates degree in early childhood education/child developement with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child developement and 480 hours of experience OR 60 semester hours with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 1920 hours of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in education administration within a licensed child care or preschool setting.
- Working with students or young children in educational or care settings to foster development and learning is essential.
- Strong understanding of licensing standards, health regulations, and best practices in early childhood programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, families, and community partners. Pay: $40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
