The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the daycare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to child development and education, as well as the ability to manage staff effectively and engage with parents and the community. The ideal candidate will possess a background in education administration and demonstrate a passion for fostering children's growth and learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement educational programs that promote children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Supervise and support child care staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements related to child care operations.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their children's progress and address any concerns.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages collaboration among staff, parents, and the community.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes for children.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in education administration or child care management.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to lead a team while fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience working directly with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
