Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully completed 6 college semester hours or 90 clock hours or their equivalent of approved training, or hold a Child Development Associate Credential
- Have completed either 1 year experience working under the supervision primarily with preschoolers in a licensed center OR a combination of college and experience equal to 1 year
- 9 hour Communication Course completion
- 3 hour ADA course completion
- CPR/First Aid training preferredResponsibilities
- Supervises and ensures the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group
- Maintains daily reports, time logs, and incident reports
- Creates lesson plans using the curriculum provided by the center
- Demonstrates commitment to the center's philosophy and goals
- Follows rules and regulations of the center, and complies with applicable regulations pertaining to the MSDE/OCC
- Attends to the physical needs of children
- Nurture and promote educational needs of the children
- Establish positive and productive relationships with families
- Ensure cleanliness of the learning environment
- Maintains a commitment to professional
