Child Care Provider

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to provide in-home child care services throughout Morris, Somerset, and Sussex County areas. We provide on-call backup care for families in their homes.

Job Details

• Assignments typically range from 4–10 hours per day and 3–5 days per week

• Schedules and family assignments may vary from week to week

• Expected hours are generally between 15–30 hours per week, depending on your flexibility and willingness to accept assignments

• Monday–Friday availability is required

Job Duties

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children

• Engage children in fun and age-appropriate activities

• Care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and dressing

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks

• Encourage healthy habits and assist with hygiene and toilet training

• Perform light household duties such as dishes, children’s laundry, and toy cleanup

• Assist with homework when needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of childcare experience with infants through elementary-aged children

• Reliable transportation to travel to assignments

• Availability for at least 2–5 weekdays; wider Monday–Friday availability will provide more assignment opportunities

• Availability between 8am–6pm or 9am–5pm is strongly preferred

• Must be willing to be auto-staffed based on availability and preferences

• Dependable and punctual

• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to become certified)

• Verifiable work references required
