• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Summary

Bright Beginnings Childcare Center is seeking dependable, caring, and flexible individuals to join our team as Childcare Providers/Closers. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and positive end to each child’s day while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and organized environment. The ideal candidate is attentive, team-oriented, and able to effectively support both children and staff during the busy afternoon and closing hours.

Key Responsibilities

Child Supervision & Care

• Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities including play, reading, and group interactions
• Support children’s emotional and developmental needs in a nurturing manner

Classroom Support

• Assist Lead Teachers with afternoon routines and transitions
• Help maintain proper child-to-staff ratios at all times
• Step into different classrooms as needed to provide coverage

Closing Duties

• Help clean, organize, and sanitize classrooms and common areas at the end of the day
• Ensure toys, materials, and supplies are properly stored
• Assist with end-of-day routines, including preparing children for pick-up
• Communicate effectively with families during pick-up times

Health & Safety

• Follow all center policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and supervision
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations

Team Collaboration

• Work cooperatively with staff and administration
• Communicate effectively regarding classroom needs and daily updates
• Support overall center operations as needed

Requirements:

• Must meet all West Virginia childcare licensing requirements for employment in a licensed childcare facility
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous childcare experience preferred
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift, move, and actively engage with children throughout the day
