Child Care Staff

Job Summary

We are a Christian based center located inside of a local church. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, supporting their growth and development through playful learning and compassionate caregiving. Your energy and positive attitude will help foster a sense of security and joy, ensuring each child feels valued and supported throughout their day.

Duties

• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to promote safety and well-being
• Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social skills development
• Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities, ensuring their individual needs are met
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and play areas regularly
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
• Assist with classroom management by guiding behavior positively and using effective behavior management techniques
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to handle emergencies promptly

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Adhering to company dress code policy
• No criminal background, must be able to pass a background check
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly desired to ensure quick response in emergencies
• Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and engaging them in age-specific activities
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and adaptability
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and connect with children’s families
• A genuine passion for nurturing children’s growth while maintaining a lively and positive environment

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
