Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse developmental needs, including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports child welfare and promotes healthy childhood development
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to support early intervention efforts and individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress, including standardized testing when applicable, and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings; classroom management experience is essential
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles, Montessori methods, or other educational philosophies such as literacy education and early intervention techniques
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to develop curriculum content that includes lesson planning for various subjects like math and physical education
  • Familiarity with childhood development stages and behavior management strategies
  • Certification or training in childcare or early childhood education preferred; relevant certifications may include CPR/First Aid or specialized training in special education or toddler care
  • Passion for working with young children and commitment to their safety, well-being, and holistic development

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
