Part-time Teacher - School-Age Children - Before and Aftercare

Monday-Friday - 7:00am-9:00am & 3:30pm - 6:00pm - 22.5 hours per week

Rockville Day Care Association (RDCA) is seeking reliable, friendly, and energetic staff to work and grow with our organization. Required Education, Course Work and Experience Requirement- Primary person in charge of group of school-age children

  • Primary person in charge of group of school-age children
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Must have High School diploma or GED or successful completion of college courses for credit AND 6 semester, 90 clock hours (45 hours of Curriculum and 45 hours of Child Development) of approved school-age coursework and 400 hours of experience working with school-age children in an approved setting OR 1 year of college (30 semester hours) OR a combination of experience and college that equals 1 year
  • Or approved teacher or Ed Dir for K or 1-8, Or hold teaching certification from MSDE or any other state for K or 1-8, Or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, elementary education, special education or child development, Or Bachelor’s degree in any academic subject w/ 1800 hours experience working with school-age children in approved setting
  • Other Requirements - 9 clock hours of approved training in Communicating (with staff, parents and the public) and 3 clock hours in ADA compliance

Pay: $21.75 - $29.25 per hour
