Part-time Teacher - School-Age Children - Before and Aftercare

Monday-Friday - 7:00am-9:30am & 3:00pm - 6:00pm - 27.5 hours per week

Required Education, Course Work and Experience Requirement- Primary person in charge of group of school-age children

  • Primary person in charge of group of school-age children
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Must have High School diploma, or GED, OR successful completion of college courses for credit
  • AND 6 semester, 90 clock hours (45 hours of Curriculum and 45 hours of Child Development) of approved school-age coursework AND 400 hours of experience working with school-age children in an approved setting OR 1 year of college (30 semester hours) OR a combination of experience and college that equals 1 year
  • Or approved as a teacher or Ed Dir for K or 1-8, Or hold teaching certification from MSDE or any other state for K or 1-8, Or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, elementary education, special education or child development,
  • Or Bachelor’s degree in any academic subject w/ 1800 hours experience working with school-age children in approved setting
  • Other Requirements - 9 clock hours of approved training in Communicating (with staff, parents and the public) and 3 clock hours in ADA compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.75 - $29.25 per hour

  • As required by the Maryland State Department of Education are you at least 19 years old?
  • This position requires both a morning shift from 7am-9:30am and an afternoon shift from 3pm-6pm. Can you work both of these shifts Monday - Friday? Do you have additional availability to work more hours on days that the schools are closed?
