Child Care Toddler/Infant Lead Teacher

Licensed child care center in Spanaway is looking for an excellent candidate to add to our outstanding team. We offer services to children ages 1 month-12 years. We are also a blended head start/early head start, full day program.

- We are hiring for a full time, Lead Toddler/ Infant Teacher. This position hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm. This is a closing position, you will need to be 21 years old. You will be trained in each classroom to get to know our staff, our children and how our center operates. There will be daily care of classroom, cleaning, diapering, mealtimes, rest time, etc. Positive communication with parents daily. Knowledgeable about licensing requirements and center expectations. You must be able to lift and hold children, lift and move educational equipment up to 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, stand and work with children on the floor for extended for periods of time. Getting down to the children's level is a must.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, nurturing and has a passion to work with young children.

We are also a blended full day Head Start and Early Head Start site!

EXPERIENCE IS DEFINITELY A MUST!

HIGHLY PREFER applicant to have at least a CDA in child development or foundations/1 year/short certificate in ECE field. We offer free schooling through Clover Park Technical College for staff to work on continuing education.

The following items are required upon hire:

*Be AT LEAST 21 years of age
*CPR & 1st aid card
*Blood Borne Pathogens card
*HIV/AIDS training
*Food Handlers card
*High School Diploma or GED
*30 hour basic STARS training
*NEW TB test (you must get a new TB test before starting with our company)
*Submit a background check on DEL MERIT SYSTEM ($12 fee required- may be required to do fingerprinting)
*Proof of MMR vaccine

Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Being on time and excellent attendance is key to our success.
