Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom activities to foster positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
- Engage with children through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on activities, and interactive play to stimulate curiosity and learning.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's developmental progress and welfare.
- Conduct assessments to monitor progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration.
Requirements
- Experience in a Childcare or school setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and external specialists.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social skills development.
- NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education or becoming certified required.
Pay: $21.83 - $26.29 per hour
