Child Care Worker

Job Overview
Cozy Bears Early Learning is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Teacher to join our childcare team in Ferndale.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting children as they learn, play, and grow. The teacher will help with daily routines, classroom activities, supervision, and maintaining a positive childcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
• Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and daily interactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow all DCYF licensing regulations, health, and safety requirements.
• Communicate professionally with families and team members.
• Assist with meal, snack, restroom, and transition routines.
• Observe and document children's progress and behaviors as needed.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a DCYF background check
• Current Food Handler's Permit
• Negative TB Test prior to first day
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• STARS Basics Training and other required childcare certifications (may be completed within 90 days of hire)Join us in creating a joyful environment where children thrive! Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
