Child Care Worker

We are the Hampshire Township Park District, providing recreational, educational and cultural opportunities that improve the quality of life through a responsive, efficient and creative park and recreation system since 1948.

We are looking for passionate people to join our growing team! We have multiple openings across our child development programs. You can apply for a specific age group, or work across different programs depending on your schedule and preference. Our daycare and preschool programs

Open Positions:

• Daycare Teacher Assistant (6 Weeks – 5 years): Provide a safe, nurturing environment. Manage feeding schedules, diapering, and sensory play.
• Before & After School Instructor (School-Age): Guide school-age kids through homework help, sports, crafts, and team-building games.

Shift Availability:

Daycare Shifts (Part Time & Full Time Available):

• Full Time: Monday – Friday between 7 AM and 4 PM
• Part Time: Monday – Friday between 1:45 PM and 5:30P

Extended Care Shifts

• Before-School Shift (Part Time Only): Monday – Friday 6:15 AM – 8:00 AM
• After-School Shift (Part Time Only): Monday – Friday 1:45 PM – 5:30 PM
• Extra hours if you are available for split shifts or combined schedules.

Requirements:

• Must adhere to DCFS certification for our Daycare programs.
• Experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must pass background checks, fingerprinting, and medical clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
