Function: To provide care and supervision to children whose caretakers are participating in program workshops and trainings.
Responsibilities:
- To assist program facilitators with workshop/training set up and clean up;
- To provide childcare and supervision to children whose parents are participating in agency workshops and training sessions;
- Provide facilitators with feedback regarding any childcare concerns and issues that arise during workshops; and
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Prior babysitting experience
- Nurturing and caring demeanor with the ability to be firm
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner
- Ability to communicate effective with children, care takers and program staff
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity issues
- Ability to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and races
- Ability to effectively work as a member of a team
- Ability to work effectively with clients including intervention and relationship building skills.
