Child Monitor

Function: To provide care and supervision to children whose caretakers are participating in program workshops and trainings.

Responsibilities:

• To assist program facilitators with workshop/training set up and clean up;
• To provide childcare and supervision to children whose parents are participating in agency workshops and training sessions;
• Provide facilitators with feedback regarding any childcare concerns and issues that arise during workshops; and
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Prior babysitting experience
• Nurturing and caring demeanor with the ability to be firm
• Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner
• Ability to communicate effective with children, care takers and program staff
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity issues
• Ability to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and races
• Ability to effectively work as a member of a team
• Ability to work effectively with clients including intervention and relationship building skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.92 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)
