Essential Job Functions:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.

Diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.

Provide face-to-face outpatient counseling sessions.

Gather and maintain detailed patient histories and medical records.

Analyze patient data, test results, and behavioral observations.

Monitor medication compliance and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Conduct family or group therapy sessions when appropriate.

Prepare diagnostic reports and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Collaborate with staff, medical providers, and families regarding treatment.

Perform related duties as assigned by leadership.

Education:
Degree in Psychiatry from an accredited medical school
OR Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with appropriate certification
Must be licensed in the State of Georgia.

Requirements:
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Knowledge of psychiatry principles and mental health best practices.

Ability to diagnose and treat mental illness in children and adolescents.

Skilled in prescribing medications and interpreting treatment programs.

Ability to work with emotionally disturbed children.

Organized, collaborative, and able to maintain detailed records.

Capable of working in a mental health or correctional environment.

Comfortable providing services face-to-face.
