Job Overview -
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Services Caseworker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children’s needs and family situations to determine appropriate interventions.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to de-escalate urgent situations involving child safety or behavioral health concerns.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to develop individualized care plans that support child welfare.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower children and families toward positive change.
  • Manage cases involving child protective services, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and agency policies.
  • Provide ongoing support and counseling to children with disabilities or behavioral health challenges, fostering resilience and growth.
  • Document case activities accurately, maintain detailed records, and prepare reports for court proceedings or case reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, HDFS, or a related field.
  • Prepared to work in classroom with Pre-K children.
  • Maintain confidentiality or records and information.
  • Proven experience working with children, families, or individuals with disabilities in a social services setting.
  • Strong skills in crisis management, conflict resolution, and conflict management.
  • Knowledge of child protective services protocols and family law regulations.
  • Proficiency in behavioral health assessment tools and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and transparency.
  • Responsible for ERSEA documentation, crisis management, referrals, and follow up.
