Position Title: Supervised Visitation Worker
Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time

Are you passionate about supporting children and strengthening families? This role is ideal for individuals pursuing or interested in careers in social work, human services, child welfare, psychology, or criminal justice.

As a Supervised Visitation Worker, you will play a critical role in helping families safely reconnect by facilitating and monitoring visits in a supportive, structured environment.

Position Overview

Supervised Visitation Workers are responsible for transporting children to and from visits, supervising interactions with parents or siblings, and ensuring each visit is safe, positive, and child-focused. This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and strong documentation skills.

Preference for Evening and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise family visits while ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • Use knowledge of child development and family dynamics to guide interactions
  • Monitor and document behaviors, interactions, and overall visit quality
  • Provide redirection and constructive feedback to families when needed
  • Safely transport children and/or family members to and from visits
  • Respond appropriately in crisis or emergency situations to ensure client safety
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation in compliance with program standards
  • Maintain professionalism, boundaries, and strict confidentiality at all times

Minimum Requirements (Required to Apply)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • Valid Driver’s License (REQUIRED)
  • Reliable vehicle for occasional use (REQUIRED)
  • Current automobile insurance with minimum liability coverage of $100,000 / $300,000 (REQUIRED)
  • Ability to pass background checks as required for child welfare positions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, degree in progress, or experience in:
  • Social Work
  • Human Services
  • Child Welfare
  • Psychology
  • Criminal Justice
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with children, families, or vulnerable populations
  • Strong interest in building a career in family services or child advocacy

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations

Training Requirements

  • Infant/Child Car Seat Training (provided by agency)
