The Department of Child Support for the Floyd County Indiana Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a professional individual who can work well with the public and those on the team. This job involves legal documents, research, initiative and various administrative duties. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.

The Child Support Division provides the following services:

· Establishment of paternity for children whose parents are not married.

· Establishment and enforcement of court orders for the payment of child support.

· Establishment and enforcement of medical support orders.

· Collection and enforcement of child support and back child support.

· Review and adjustment of current support orders.

· Locating non-custodial parents in order to establish or enforce orders.

Positon Type-Full Time, 40-hours per week.

High school equivalency required and college with a legal or administrative background and work history is preferred. To be the best fit for this job, you need:

· Must complete and pass background check and security training.

· Be able to excel in public relations and manage conflict

· Ability to learn multiple computer programs

· Have great written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to learn or have knowledge of basic legal documents, laws and procedures

· Be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills

· Be able to perform arithmetic calculations

· Ability to act professionally and with integrity at all times especially in matters of a confidential nature

· Use and be proficient in multiple computer programs unique to the department

· Manage assigned department case files

o Communicate with participants, attorneys, legal professionals, & other child support caseworkers

o Prepare legal documents and go to Court and provide testimony

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,612.00 per year
