Childcare Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Recreation Leader to join our team. This role is essential in creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children and youth. The Recreation Leader will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in various settings and possess strong leadership skills to guide participants through diverse programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead recreational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and educational programs.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive environment.
• Provide first aid as needed and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates children with special needs or varying abilities.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to enhance program offerings.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and participant progress.
• Assist in the development of program materials and resources.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childhood development and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 yrs old or older
• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camps, tutoring, coaching, or babysitting environments is helpful, but not necessary as we will train.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
