Childcare Assistant Director

The ideal candidate has a passion for early childhood education, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Candidates must have experience working in a licensed childcare facility and meet state licensing requirements for an assistant administrator or designee.

Overview:

The Assistant Center Director supports daily center operations in partnership with the Center Director. This role includes guiding teachers, building strong family relationships, ensuring licensing compliance, and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director in daily operations and overall school management
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teaching staff to ensure high-quality classroom environments
  • Assist with staff scheduling, enrollment management, and parent communication
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety regulations
  • Serve as acting Director when needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience in early childhood education; prior leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in a licensed childcare setting required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team-focused mindset
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for Assistant Administrator/Designee
