Reports to: Manager on Duty, Lead Childcare Attendant, Member Services Manager

Supervises: No Supervisory duties are included in this position

Education and/ or experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check
• Preferred six months or more of previous childcare experience

• Skilled in entertaining kids and keeping them occupied
• Ability to engage children in creative and learning activities
• Demonstrates ability to care for toddlers
• Ability to act calm in situations of medical emergencies
• Ability to handle kids; being patient with them
• Ability to maintain a clean and healthy environment

Job summary (Essential Functions)

Providing extraordinary child-tending services

Job Tasks/Duties

• Take food order for the children
• Monitor childrens activites
• Keep play area safe and free from hazards
• Sanitize play area (games, toys) on a regular basis
• Engage in educational activities with children (crafts, drawing, coloring)

Licenses and special Requirements

American Red Cross childcare certification (training in first aid and CPR)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up tp 50 pounds
• Continuous repetitive motions
• Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment

Pay: $14.00 per hour
