Childcare Center Director - Sunflower Station

Join our team as the Director of Sunflower Station, a regional childcare center operated by Argonia USD 359 serving 25-30 children, where you will lead a dynamic early childhood education environment dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering community engagement. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership, innovative curriculum development, and operational excellence to create a safe, enriching space for children to learn and grow. As the guiding force behind our center’s success, you will inspire staff, collaborate with families, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are met every day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership by developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote early childhood development and learning outcomes.
  • Oversee daily center operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage staffing schedules, supervise teaching staff, and foster a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for program growth, community outreach, and fundraising initiatives to support center sustainability.
  • Work with the Superintendent of Schools to prepare and manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently while maintaining compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Supervise classroom activities to ensure adherence to educational standards while supporting teachers’ professional development.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven experience in early childhood or childcare settings.
  • Background in curriculum development tailored to diverse age groups and developmental stages.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising efforts and strategic planning.
  • Management experience supervising staff, overseeing budgets, and implementing operational policies.
  • Hands-on classroom experience working directly with young children and working with families from diverse backgrounds.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
