Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Child Care to join our team! We are a family-owned licensed Texas Rising Star center located in Arlington, Texas. We serve children 6 weeks - 12 years old.
The Director must effectively operate and manage all aspects of the school, which include, but are not limited to, managing parent relations, staff planning and motivation, student curriculum, ensuring documentation and upkeep of statutory records as per State and Federal regulations. The Director must always promote a positive image of the School within the community of parents, staff, and children. The ideal Director has strong leadership, management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to,
1. Ensure staff compliance with Texas Department of Family Protective Services and facility policies and procedures.
2. Meet all requirements from local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
3. Recruit, train, supervise, and terminate employees.
4. Supervise and assist in developing and supervising the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
5. Supervise the maintenance of a safe and healthy learning environment.
6. Supervise and assist in planning, preparation, and serving of all meals and snack.
7. Supervise and assist in the care of and maintenance of the facility as a whole.
8. Serve as a resource for parents.
9. Involve parents in the care and education of their children.
10. Assist in enrolling children and conducting parents/guardians orientations and tours.
11. Promote and monitor safe activities.
12. Assist in developing center policies, events, and staff training.
13. Participate in professional development activities.
14. Attend and assist in the planning and running of staff meetings.
15. Assist in monitoring that staff members receive mandated yearly training hours.
16. Ensure employee, staff, and student files are up-to-date
17. Ensure classroom coverage and compliance. (This includes classroom coverage as needed.) When working closing shifts, ensure that all closing responsibilities are completed before leaving for the day.
18. Assist in driving/transporting children to or from school, field trips, and community events in the facility vehicle.
19. Assist in ordering facility supplies, equipment, and food as needed.
20. Learn and manage the CACFP (food) program to ensure compliance with rules and capture of funds.
21. Learn the Procare program and provide support for Procare functions.
22. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Owner.
