Childcare Director/Assistant Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating and caring for children, creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and development. This role is essential in supporting the growth of children through structured activities, play, and educational experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and cooperation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment for children to explore.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure a cohesive approach to child development.
• Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance as needed to promote positive interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Child Care Center Director or in a leadership role within childcare.
• Child Development Certificate Preferred
• Child Education Specialist's Certificate/Diploma Preferred
• Child Development Associate's Certificate/Certificate Preferred
• Child Care Certified (Preferred)
• Strong ability to educate children through engaging activities and lessons.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children are essential traits.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
