Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Support children’s social-emotional development by encouraging positive interactions and teaching conflict resolution skills.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress using standardized testing methods and informal observations to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that complies with child welfare standards and daycare regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, preschool experience, toddler care, and early childhood education best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting with classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and teaching physical education activities.
- Experience working with students who have special needs or require early intervention support is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Ability to implement Montessori or other educational methodologies as appropriate for the age group.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
