Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
- Facilitate engaging lessons and activities tailored to the individual needs of children, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special educational requirements.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and learning outcomes.
- Support early intervention initiatives by identifying developmental milestones and collaborating with specialists to address individual learning needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of children's progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children by adhering to childcare regulations, implementing child welfare best practices, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education trends such as literacy education, tutoring techniques, and inclusive practices for special education.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood education settings, including daycare or preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development principles across various educational domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and special education.
- Expertise in working with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, with an understanding of childhood development stages.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other innovative teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists involved in early intervention or child welfare programs.
- Experience with classroom experience involving behavior management techniques that foster positive behavior and social skills.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and the ability to incorporate assessment data into instructional planning.
- Knowledge of child safety protocols, daycare licensing standards, and best practices in childcare settings.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches for children with diverse learning needs or those requiring special accommodations.
