Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that support literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Engage children through age-appropriate activities such as lesson planning for preschoolers and toddlers, incorporating Montessori methods and physical education to foster holistic development.
- Monitor classroom activities to ensure safety, proper classroom management, and adherence to childcare regulations.
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and team members to support each child's welfare, progress, and overall development.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools when appropriate to track learning milestones and inform instruction.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, child progress reports, and incident documentation to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting with classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education tailored for young learners.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists.
- Ability to manage a classroom environment confidently while fostering an inclusive atmosphere that supports diversity and child welfare.
