Childcare float/cleaning

Join our vibrant childcare team as a Childcare Float/Cleaning Specialist, where your energy and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and the smooth operation of our early childhood programs. In this dynamic role, you will provide flexible support across classrooms, assist with daily cleaning and sanitation tasks, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for young learners. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help foster a nurturing space that promotes growth, learning, and well-being for children of various ages.

Duties

  • Support classroom teachers by assisting with child supervision, activities, and behavior management to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Provide attentive toddler and infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting children as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility by disinfecting toys, surfaces, and shared spaces regularly.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup of classroom materials, ensuring all areas are organized and safe for children’s activities.
  • Support special education initiatives by working with children with disabilities or additional needs, following individualized plans.
  • Help manage classroom supplies inventory and notify staff when materials need replenishing or repairs are required.
  • Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies by following established protocols and communicating effectively with staff.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate caregiving practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or behavior management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience in classroom setup, cleaning routines, and maintaining a safe environment for infants through preschool-aged children.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a lively, positive attitude that encourages children's growth and exploration. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
