Childcare Kitchen Staff

Legacy Kids Academy is looking for a dependable and caring Cook to join our team! We are seeking someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals for children in a fast-paced preschool/daycare environment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily
• Follow CACFP and childcare nutrition guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Clean and sanitize the cafeteria and dining areas daily
• Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment
• Manage food inventory and notify administration of supply needs
• Follow food allergy and dietary restriction procedures
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule

Requirements

• Experience cooking in a childcare, school, restaurant, or similar setting preferred
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to multitask
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Must pass required background checks
• Food Handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

Monday–Friday
Approximately 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Information

This is a childcare kitchen position, not a restaurant or chef role. Meals are simple, structured, and prepared according to daycare nutrition guidelines. This position involves a large amount of cleaning and sanitation duties, including maintaining the kitchen, washing dishes, and cleaning the cafeteria daily. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for children and staff.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
