Childcare Lead Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
• Implement age-appropriate activities
• Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play area
• Monitor children's behavior and address any disciplinary issues
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities
• Ensure the health and safety of all children in your care

Requirements:

• 9 CEUs or 6 semester hours of childcare classes
• Minimum 6 months childcare experience
• Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate activities
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a structured environment
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
• First aid and CPR certification preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Skills:

• Experience caring for children of various ages
• Knowledge of preschool curriculum and educational activities
• Ability to manage behavior and implement behavior management strategies
• Understanding of childhood development stages and milestones
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and structured environment
• Pay is based on experience and education. There is room to expand and grow.

Job Type: Full-time
