Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Childcare Opener(5:30am-9:30am) to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing the classroom environment at the start of each day, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for children to learn and grow. Duties
- Open the childcare facility promptly each morning, ensuring all safety protocols are in place before children arrive
- Prepare classroom materials, activities, and learning stations aligned with developmental goals
- Conduct safety checks of the environment, including toys, furniture, and equipment, to ensure a secure space
- Greet children and parents warmly, establishing positive relationships from the start of the day
- Assist with diapering, toddler care, or infant care routines as needed to promote comfort and hygiene
- Support classroom management by organizing materials and maintaining an orderly environment
- Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to implement daily schedules that promote childhood development and behavior management
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Document attendance and communicate any concerns or observations to lead staff
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices and curriculum implementation
- Hands-on experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers in a caregiving or babysitting role is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to nurturing young learners
