Childcare Preschool Teacher To Be Our Best Substitute Teacher

Don't want to work 5 days per week? This position enables you to work only the days you want to work or are available to work when one of our teachers is off. We need teachers who are caring and ready to share Jesus with young children, ages 2 & 3. We expect to hire you based on your childcare experience, particulary if you have your CDA or a college degree. Wages are based on these qualifications. We also hire people of faith who are caring as we provide training starting as aides in classrooms. The childcare academy is located in a church facility, sponsored by the church, with top tier management in place.

Job Duties:

- Use our age-appropriate lesson plans and activities ready to go in our "sub folders".
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development
- Teach children in their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Promote positive behavior and discipline within our guidelines
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

Requirements:

- Be a joyous person with a positive outlook on life and work

- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting

- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices, CDA earns hourly increased wage

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to use engaging and interactive lesson plans

- Ability to use activity plans to create fun times for children as they learn

- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders

Skills:

- Ability to manage children's and your own emotions
- Knowledge of childcare management systems for parent communication
- Proficiency in learning concepts for young children
- Understanding of childhood development stages
- Childcare or daycare experience
