Responsibilities
As the Childcare Program Director, you’ll have the opportunity to nurture young minds and support families through engaging childcare programs that foster growth, safety, and connection within the community.

Lead: Manage, direct, and coordinate child care programs and assist in marketing, outreach to families, tracking program participation, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Develop: Maintain positive relationships with state authorities, school administrators, families, and community partners.

Implement: Ensure adherence to all YMCA, state, and federal childcare standards, policies, and safety procedures and ensure YMCA child care program standards are met, and safety procedures followed.

Support: Ensure programs operate within budget and program fees are collected.
Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, as well as:

At least 21 years of age.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

One to two years of related leadership experience preferred.

Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.

Strong human relation skills and enthusiasm.

Ability to remain organized, flexible, and handle difficult situations effectively.

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people and address large groups as needed.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must successfully complete, within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and any other required trainings as specified by your supervisor.
Salary: Exempt, Full-Time, $45,000–$47,000 annually
