• Morning Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Flexible Coverage (Floater): Available to cover call-ins, vacations, and schedule gaps (may include evenings 4–8 PM, and Saturdays 8 AM–12 PM)

Our childcare services are an essential part of our mission—providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children while parents and guardians participate in fitness, programs, and activities throughout the facility.

Position Summary

The Childcare Provider is responsible for the direct supervision, care, and engagement of children in Boone FLEX's child play place and drop-off childcare area. This role requires a high level of attentiveness, patience, and professionalism, as well as a strong commitment to child safety and positive interaction.

Childcare Providers play a vital role in supporting families by creating an environment where children feel secure, welcomed, and engaged, allowing parents peace of mind while using the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Child Supervision & Engagement

• Supervise children ages 2–12 in a safe, structured, and welcoming environment
• Lead age-appropriate games, activities, and free-play opportunities that promote creativity, movement, and positive social interaction
• Actively monitor children at all times to ensure safety and appropriate behavior

Parent & Guardian Communication

• Greet parents and guardians professionally and manage accurate sign-in and sign-out procedures
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents regarding their child’s experience, behavior, or any concerns
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance

• Follow all Boone FLEX childcare policies, safety procedures, and supervision ratios
• Respond appropriately to injuries, behavioral issues, or emergencies and complete required incident reports
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized play spaces, toys, and equipment throughout each shift
• Enforce health, hygiene, and illness policies consistently

Team & Facility Support

• Work collaboratively with other childcare providers and supervisors to ensure consistency and quality of care
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and daily preparation of the childcare area
• Support a positive, calm, and welcoming atmosphere aligned with Boone FLEX’s values

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to remain on your feet and actively engaged for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, or assist children and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment with varying activity levels
• Availability during peak hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a childcare center, school, camp, or similar setting preferred
• Strong patience, attentiveness, and ability to manage multiple children safely
• High level of dependability and professionalism
• CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to or shortly after hire)
• Successful completion of background checks and required child safety clearances
• Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions consistently

Schedule includes occasional reduced hours on select federal holidays.

Limited holiday coverage may be required based on operational needs.
