Childcare Provider

Palmer LifeWays is an established infant through preschool center, also offering school-age aftercare and summer programs. We are seeking both experienced educators and emerging caregivers who feel called to work with young children in a meaningful, relationship-centered way. Whether you’ve spent years in the field or are just beginning your journey, this role is ideal for individuals who are thoughtful, grounded, and eager to grow..

What You’ll Do

• Create a warm, predictable rhythm that helps children feel safe, secure, and seen
• Support play-based, nature-connected learning experiences
• Foster social-emotional development through modeling, storytelling, and gentle guidance
• Work collaboratively with a team that values communication, reflection, and growth
• Help maintain a calm, beautiful classroom environment that reflects Waldorf principles

Who You Are

• You genuinely enjoy being with young children- and they respond to your presence
• You value creativity, imagination, and slowing down
• You’re dependable, self-aware, and open to feedback
• You’re interested in (or curious about) Waldorf education
• Have education or are willing to get education in Early Ed or Child Development

Experience in childcare is helpful, but not required-we are willing to train the right person.

Position Details

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• In-person role in Palmer, Alaska

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
