Childcare Provider (School Age Program/ Bus Driver)

Salt Lake's premier child care center, SMALL WORLD CHILD CARE, has been providing quality childcare for our community since 1977! We have 2 locations to better serve our community, located in West Jordan and West Valley City. We are currently looking to add a Teacher to our team at our West Jordan center location.

We are looking for a qualified Teacher who is passionate, thrives and is actively engaged when working with children. We have a supportive team and enjoy that each staff member contributes positivity and encouragement into the work environment. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of education. Work schedule is Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum while creating fun and interactive learning experiences
• Actively engaged with children
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families
• Ensure the learning environment is clean and safe at all times

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21
• Ability to be physically active during the shift - sit and stand from the ground, move around frequently and lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Experience in child care or a preschool setting (preferred)
• Child Development Associates (preferred)
• Able to speak, read, and write in English (fluently and well)
• Able to pass a federal background check
• Dependable and enthusiastic
• Organized and detail orientated

License/Certification

• Food handler’s permit (have/willingness to do)
• First-aid Certified (have/willingness to do)
• Valid drivers license
