Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children in a classroom setting while following all center policies and safety guidelines.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and engaging to meet the needs of the children in your care.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns or incidents.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and other daily care routines in a respectful and nurturing way.
- Observe children’s interactions and promote positive behavior using redirection and developmentally appropriate discipline techniques.
- Take part in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

- Exhibits strong communication skills when working with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning methods.
- Remains patient, calm, and compassionate in fast-paced or high-energy environments.
- Skilled in guiding behavior and resolving conflicts in ways suited to young children.
- Collaborates effectively within a team-focused setting.
- Maintains the physical ability and energy to participate in classroom and outdoor activities.
- Displays strong organizational skills when managing daily routines, records, and classroom materials.
- Understands and follows health, safety, and hygiene practices in a childcare setting.
