Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development. This role offers an opportunity to positively influence young children’s growth and learning in a nurturing environment. Candidates with experience in preschool, toddler care, special education, and Montessori methods are encouraged to apply. The Childcare Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that foster curiosity, creativity, and learning through play.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments, including standardized testing where applicable.
- Foster positive communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare.
- Support children’s social skills and emotional well-being through engaging activities and attentive supervision.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements related to childcare standards.
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods such as Montessori techniques or other specialized educational approaches as appropriate.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, and teaching physical education is desirable.
- Strong communication skills necessary for collaborating with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly valued.
- Background in early childhood education certifications or valid CDA credential is advantageous but not required.
