Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. As a Christ-centered learning community, we strive to provide a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, along with a genuine love for children and a heart for ministry.
This role offers an opportunity to positively influence young children’s growth and learning while also helping guide them in understanding God’s love through daily interactions, prayer, and age-appropriate faith-based teachings. Candidates with experience in preschool, Infant and toddler care are encouraged to apply.
The Childcare Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's development in a warm, faith-filled environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences that support early literacy, early math, and physical development, while introducing Christian values through everyday interactions, stories, and activities.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that foster curiosity, creativity, and learning through play, as well as introduce children to foundational Biblical concepts in an age-appropriate way.
- Model Christ-like behavior through kindness, patience, respect, and compassion in all interactions with children, families, and staff.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a safe, supportive, and loving environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments including ASQ.
- Foster positive communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare and spiritual development.
- Support children’s social skills and emotional well-being through engaging activities, attentive supervision, and encouragement rooted in Christian values.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements related to childcare standards.
- Lead or participate in simple daily practices such as prayer, Bible stories, and faith-based songs appropriate for young children.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including supporting the growth of fine and gross motor skills through age-appropriate activities, is desirable.
- Strong communication skills necessary for collaborating with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly valued.
- Background in early childhood education certifications or valid CDA credential is advantageous but not required.
- A personal commitment to Christian values and the ability to support and model the center’s faith-based mission in daily classroom activities.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to safely supervise and care for young children, which may include lifting, carrying, and assisting children. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (or the weight of a child) as needed, including lifting children to changing tables, assisting with transitions, and responding to emergencies.

Pay: $14.75 - $16.50 per hour
